Spathoglotis which has long been known in Indonesia are generally colored purple (Spathoglotis Plicatta) but lately have developed several new varieties that produce other colors such as yellow or white. Yellow species only grow well in the highlands. Spathoglotis Plicatta first discovered in the tropics.
Ground orchids need the media as a source of food. Use of humus, manure and compost is needed. Plant propagation is by seed or seedling plants. Its roots grow so quickly when planted in large pots needed pot size. About maintenance, prune regularly with cut leaves that have brown or dry stalk.
